The "Duel in the Desert" National Championship in Palm Springs, California is the number #1 West Coast Cheer & Dance Team National Championship. Duel in the Desert was the first to bring spring floor competition to the West Coast. Spirit Sports' innovative and spirited competitions have started a new wave of Cheer & Dance team events. Spirit Sports will be the first opportunity for teams to receive a one of Two Fully Paid Worlds Bids or one of Eight At-Large Bids on the West Coast. - All-Star Teams get to compete TWICE on a 54X42’ spring floor and school teams will compete twice on a 54X42 carpet bonded foam floor, with the combination of scores used to determine the winner.

- NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED IN THE CONVENTION CENTER
- According to Palm Springs Convention Center policy, there is no outside food or drink allowed in the convention center. Sorry for this inconvenience.
